Hi guys. Not sure how this will go since I'm in the States. Someone personally knowing me is as likely as Paris Hilton joining Mensa....but here goes...
First, you really don't want to know what I do for a living. I'm old enough to have bought a RX7 FB 'S' model brand spankin' new in 1981 shortly after graduating college. Sold it to buy my first house, got married, had kids, bought a second house. I've had my 93 (series 6) VR R1 for about 6 1/2 years now.
I've posted on the rx7club.com forum since 2003 under "Sgtblue". I'm also on nopistons.com and a few others under 'Signal 2". I recognize a few names here, BigWilly and a couple of others. They could probably check my posts on those forums. I've only made a few recent posts on this forum, but hopefully they demonstrate some modest knowlege. I generally read more than post, and try to limit comments to things I've actually done on the car.

"I am here to cleeen ze toilette!"
PS...welcome aboard...throw some pics up of your ride, and I am sure you will be approved by the fellow FDowners on here. The rules state that if your accepted by the forum, even without 100% proof being available, you will be allowed full access :)

LOL, Nope, not a spy or anything sinister....I promise. Toilet cleaner comes as close as anything.
A picture someone else took of my car at a local Autocross last year.

From last winter. If this doesn't prove I own an FD, I don't think anything will. Can anyone spot the MAZDA SST in the picture?:D

Yes, a Police Officer since 1979...hinted at in my signature. About 4 yrs in Narcotics, 12 yrs in SWAT (point entry and surveillance/recon), another 10 as a Major Case Detective (when someone assumed ambient temperature, they called me). Currently a worn out, slightly overwieght Uniform Sergeant trying to pay college tuition for my kids and still keep the FD.
Folks of your age and interest generally don't care too much for folks of my age and occupation...so I was a little reluctant. But I'm not ashamed of it either.

When you are actually in Trauma and such I find them to be world class.
Sometimes the Traffic Po Po ... ruin the mood pretty hard though.
Used to live in a very small town and the local police would let
visiting police book everyone for traffic offences and they were
left to just be interacted with for the more serious matters.

I understand. I learned long ago that we can't be like Firemen...everyone is always glad to see them. :D
I'm on a small(er) department of about 100 Officers attached to a larger Metro area. Most of the local kids...err...younger guys know who I am and know what I drive. That helps occasionally to break the ice. LOL, it's like when I was a little kid and saw my 2nd grade teacher for the first time at a grocery store. I just couldn't visualize Mrs. Miller as a "regular" person outside school. I think some of the guys have a hard time at first thinking of me the same way, especially the few I've had to deal with professionally. But with a mutual interest in sports cars it's helped alot.
