Completely factory standard and original (other than stereo which is out of a newer model OZ spec Mazda and has re-gassed Type RS Bilsteins).
21800 kms on the clock.
Interior is immaculate, not a mark on the Recaro's, all interior red stitching practically glows!
Factory floor mats.
Full NSW rego (till August 08) and compliance.
Looks and drives like a new car.
I am the first owner of this car in Australia.

Thanks 4A BUZ, I know, its breaking my heart to sell it - There's not many other cars I would want to own.

Daveo - Unfortunately I had bought it prior to my wife getting her RX-8, and being that its a 2 seater, the "whole family" can't go cruising in it.

Believe me, I'm looking for reasons NOT to sell it!! (don't worry - I can already name a few :D)

You'd be hard pushed to find a better example of a Spirit R - especially one that hasn't been smashed and repaired.

lovely car you have there. oh man it looks neat. it's impossible to really judge a car from pics, but from the pics this one looks sweet. probably the only RX7 I'd give up my '01 RZ for. I reckon the titanium colour, spirit R with the red seats is the best combo out there. I always wanted an RZ though and sadly for me they only come in pearl white (my second favourite FD colour).

I think it's worth every cent you're asking, and if I wanted it I certainly wouldn't break your balls too hard on price. :) good luck with the sale.

Given the cost of importing just sky-rocketed back to something like 2001 levels, I wouldn't be too quick to sell it at firesale price either. We won't see the influx and subsequent price drop as we possibly expected with these cars if the JPY stays where it is.

These cars wont ever drop much in Japan, they hold there value here too. I have seen them sold higher than the costs were to buy them new. In 10 years time, these will be sought after in Japan. We are already starting to see clean stock examples of R32 GTSs going for 20K at auctions.

To import a Spirit R using todays rate, it would probably cost 50K plus other crap charges.

Still at the price you quoted, you would struggle getting a car complied and regoed for the same price as the car in this thread. Plus there are lots of risks with importing too!:D

its bcoz i read some other threads with guys selling their RS claiming that the RS is 'Spirit R without the recaros'

Total cost on the road would be around $10k more than it used to be, so $55-7k in my opinion. Which is what they used to be back when the exchange rate was not as good as it was recently and the cars were slightly more expensive to buy in Japan.
