Are those pads for the RS brakes?
What kinda information do i need to get a set of pads for the RS? went to the brake shop and told them the make and model, they have no idea what size pads can be used. their database only have series 6 FDs
project mu only has the one size pads for FD's, F443 fronts and R422 rears.
i dont know if RS and cheapo brakes use the same pads, but i'm assuming they would.
IMO for a street car stick to stock, for for performance than that something like bendix utimates are good. For even more performance (and money) there are Endless, project mu and my favorite SBS CCX.

Its not as much the brand, i'm more interested in the specs of pads that can fit on the RS bigger brakes, or does it matter what size it is?
I believe the brakes use the same pads. The major difference between RS and other brakes is the rotor size.
Rhys
This thread explains all the differences.

The ONLY things that make brakes better are pad area, pad material, and disc size. Bigger area pads means more friction. Bigger discs means more ability to absorb and disapate the heat generated by the friction of the pads. The pad material IS important. It all comes down to coefficient of friction of the material, and the heat range in which it works best.
I know the pad material i want, the disc size, but what is the pad area i need?

the difference in rotor sizes is thickness isn't it, so if that's true then it doesn't matter.
But, if the diameter is larger on RS too then its a problem so need someone else's confirmation
RS/RB/R/ etc all use the same pads

Did you READ the thread that Rhys linked up...?
It took me ages to write that shit... if you could but be bothered to read it, everything you need to know is in there.
But in short... the front pads are the same all the way back to the series 4 (1986 second generation)... the rear pads are the same all the way back to the series 3 (1984 first generation)...
So yes... the RS uses the same pads as a boring RB...
The answer to all your questions is but a read away... if you could be bothered...
mate I just bought a set of mu type-B spec pads and i'm getting them installed tomorrow, I'll let you know how they handle on my 2001 RS.

Mine is better... Mine is a Bathurst... which is based on the lowest spec of the early RB's...
The advantage is it is lighter, and has less crap that you REALLY don't need. Seriously... why would you need headlight washers...?
just got the b-spec pads installed. Not as good as the last set the previous owner had on the car(don't know what brand they were) but they do the job. I think next time i'll go for something higher spec like type NR's. But so far they seem to be okay for what i need at the moment. cost is $200 from Musecret. hope that helps.

I agree with FF, the DS2500's are a great all round pad.
Though Rhys is on the money with the SBS pads ;)
