Changing direction of compressor outlet

I have a single GT35/40 turbo and want to know if i can turn the compressor housing about 90 degrees anti clockwise so the intercooler pipe runs straighter and not in such a crap place with bends. Will this upset ballance or anything?

there is no drama in which way you position the front compressor housing.

Ok cool. Ive done it before on the hitashi turbo on my RX4 but then sold the can as unfinished project before it ran.
