Head Lights

Hey there guys due to the probs of getting into our section on the other site i need some help. I washed my car the other week and about 20mins later my headlights just went up and now i cant get them down at all.

Does anyone know how to fix this :confused:

I can bet you its your Headlight relay. My headlights went crazy too, did you get some water into the relay?

Anyway, its the relay with black cover on it with GE10 written. Unplug that, find a new relay (I've gone through 2 myself) and stick that in. If you find the relay, try tapping it on something, it sometimes goes up/down when you do that.

thats my bet.. its happened to me many a time.. hopefully not anymore.

oh easy way to see if it IS that.. before you go on a mission to find one to buy, find a FD friend and pull thiers out and test :) there was one on ebay from the UK a while ago for about 15 bucks.

looks like that one.. im assuming mx5's and mx6's had the same relay

if ur around the gold coast area i can probably help my FD is sitting in my garage atm doing jack diddly squat due to me being at work over in Kalumburu WA...

its heading in to get registration finally changed over, and hopefully my radiator ends up home soon... but im whisting atm, god knows when it will arrive, if at all

Nekryd thanx for the offer mate but i am down in newcastle where the fd community is very small i can count on one hand the amount of times i have seen another fd out cruising when i have been out and about.

Hey i am going to be up your way at the end of feb for work, if you are around then and your car is running would be cool as to go for a cruise up there.

mate give me a week before u head up and ill contact a few FD boys that i cruise with to come meet up with u and me from brisbane... and make it a nice FD run, maybe even bring out about 5 FD's i know of around gold coast that i never get to speak to :P
