Efini or flying V? Which do you prefer?

Ive been tempted to remove my efini badge as i really like the look of the flying Mazda V. But at the same time, i feel that if i keep to Efini badge, it looks a bit more exotic and some people are probably unaware what the car is?

Whats your pick?

By the way, this is for the rear, the front doesnt have a badge, looks much cleaner:p

I even went so far as to fit the Efini badge on my series 8 front bar when I fitted it.

Officially, my car isn't a Mazda, so why would I want the crappy Mazda badge...?

A Lexen was a re-named Holden Crappydoor. Same as a Corolla and Nova.



But a Lexus is still a Lexus... not a Toyota. They may well be made by Toyota, but they are still Lexus's. The IS250 has no corresponding Toyota model.

That is the same thing with Mazda, Efini, and Eunos. The Efini was the sports brand, the Eunos was the Luxo brand, and Mazda was all the boring shit in between.

In Japan, there was no such thing as a Mazda RX-7 in the early 90's... they were all Efini's.

It was only overseas markets that used the name Mazda for these models.

My car is a Jap spec from '95, so it IS an Efini... that's all there is to it.

When my FD's secondary ecu died, the local dealership couldn't work out what was going on (only symptoms were an epileptic power window and a flashing seatbelt light) - who did they call... an efini dealership in Tokyo.

So efini is kind of still around, but they rebadged everything mazda, to end the confusion (multi-marques certainly was a bubble era fad).
